Email Notification and Re-Assignment of the Task( Escalation)(OIM)

Hi All,
           Last week, There was a new requirement which was  quite Tedious and complex.

Scenario : A request is submitted by a user. Request goes to User Manager .User's manager approves the request.

After Manager approval - there were two more Level of Approvals.

1. Higher Manager Approval
2. Administrator Approval

After Manager approves the request, the request goes to the Highest priority User in the group "Higher manager Approval  ". If he doesn't reply for 3 days, then

1. Email Notification should go to second user in that group and task should be reassigned to him(Second User in that group).(Schedule task was written to acheive this)
Similarly, for the Administartor Approval group was done.

In the email notifications all the details were provided like who submitted the request, for who request was raised, for which resource, details of creation of request etc.

  1. Hi, I am creating a request for approval. Once request get generated I need to send the mail to Requester as well as the approver with custom modification in the email body. So I cannot use the Email template straight forward. I need to fetch the email body and add some contents then send it to approver adn requester. In case of requester it is fine.
    For approver in the Assignment tab I used the Grotp Type and mentioned the Group to whome task should be assigned. Till here I am fine. While trying to send the mail to approver I created a custom adapter and added below the approve task in the Approval type of process definition(unconditional). In this adapter I am fetching all the member who may approve the task usin find all members from this group and then fetching their details like email id to send the email notification with specified template. While I login thru some admin type user it works fine but while I login thru simple user their is no exception but email id is not being fetched.

    Can you please share your thoughts on this?

    Lately i came across this blog. In your task you will be checking for the day from which the request is approved by Manager ? or 3 days of request placing ?

    And let me ask this, do you have auditing on Email notifications that are being sent ?
